Description
SayTo makes an actor say a single line of dialogue to another actor. The function returns 0, so setting a variable equal to the return value will not do anything. To set up an action for after the line is spoken, see SayToDone, which is a block that is triggered when the SAYTO is complete.
Syntax
Actor.SayTo targetActor:ref Topic:EditorID forceSubtitleFlag:int noTargetLookFlag:int
Example
SayTo JoeRef SecretTopic
SayTo player SecretTopic 1
force subtitles
SayTo JoeRef SecretTopic 0 1
Joe is not forced to look at the speaker during the SayTo
Bugs
- Using SayTo in a package result script will cause the package to hang if the player is not in the cell
