Description

Disposition formula in New Vegas was simplified compared to previous games, with most settings affecting it either removed from the code, or taken out of New Vegas .esm. There are four components in final Disposition formula:

Disposition = (Base Disposition + floor(Target Charisma) + floor(Source Responsibility)) * Perk Modifiers
  • Base Disposition:

Determined by Disposition Base value of a source NPC.

  • Target Charisma:
(target.GetAV Charisma - fDispTargetCharOffset) * fDispTargetCharMult + fDispTargetCharBase
  • Source Responsibility:
(source.GetAV Responsibility * fDispActorRespMult + fDispActorRespBase) * (target.GetAV Karma * fDispTargetKarmaMult)
  • Perk Modifiers:

Any perk entries using the Get Disposition entry point.

Game settings used by this formula

Setting Default Description
fDispTargetCharOffset 5 Target Charisma offset.
fDispTargetCharMult 10 Target Charisma multiplier.
fDispTargetCharBase 0 Base value for Target Charisma.
fDispActorRespMult 1 Source Responsibility multiplier.
fDispActorRespBase -50 Base value for Source Responsibility.
fDispTargetKarmaMult 0.002 Target Karma multiplier.
